Podcast. West Pride 2021 – A Breath of Rainbow Air in Pandemic Times

The COVID-19 has introduced huge limitations on public gatherings all around the globe. However, the government of predominantly vaccinated Sweden decided to have a try and lift all limitations on public events since September 29, 2021.

Thousands of LGBTQ people and allies from every part of Sweden and other European states dashed to Gothenburg to feel again the thrilling atmosphere of West Pride Festival.

Emma Gunterberg Sachs, General Manager of West Pride shared with GPress.info her thoughts about the challenges of arranging such a huge cultural, human rights, and solidarity building event in pandemic times, dwelt upon the specific features of West Pride concept, and gave a valuable piece of advice to the LGBTQ people in Belarus.
